Chantry Studio is a new build artist's studio and Gallery in Dorset. The project is a collaboration between YOU&ME and artist Rob Woolner.
Shou Sugi Ban Japanese charred timber techniques create a silvery black cladding, its texture taking cues from the richness of Rob Woolner's large canvasses. The symmetrical openings and steel slots set in the structure create highlights within the black box, echoing the artist's work.
The project was delivered without planning under permitted development rights.
