YOU&ME and Fleet Architects were appointed by Luton Culture to refurbish the HatHouse building into retail, restaurant and creative workspaces. The five storey 1,200 sqm building forms part of a major redevelopment of three historic hat factories in the Hat District for creative, design, tech and digital businesses. HatHouse is part of the Hat District’s cultural community of bars, live music, venues and events at the neighbouring Hat Factory Arts Centre and HatWorks, also delivered by the YOU&ME and Fleet Architecture team.
The team worked to a fast track programme to meet the demands of the funding cycle closely with Project Managers Hewitt Freeborn. The scheme reached completion in Summer 2019.
